Note: Non of my recipes contain amounts needed. Just estimate for your needs.
Chicken Rendang
Ingredients:
Basic ingredients for chicken curry (star, cinnamon, fennel, etc)
Onion
Ginger and Garlic crushed (preferably with a mortal and pestle)
3 tsp Chili Powder
Lemon grass crushed
Chicken (thigh with bones and chicken breast)
1/2 cup coconut flakes. Sweetened coconut will do too.
Lime Juice.
Directions:
1.Heat the wok and pour some oil. Add the star, cinnamon, fennel, etc. Wait for the cinnamon to unfold. Then add onions. put a little bit of turmeric powder.
2. Once the onion is slightly browned, add the crushed ginger and garlic. Also add the lemon grass and chili powder and let it fragrant. Add oil to smooth the paste.
Blend coconut with some water
3. Add the chicken, salt and coconut with some water. Cover the wok and let it cook.
4. Once it is cooked, add lime juice and turn off the stove.
For garnish, add onions and cilantro.
